Crimson Desert, a new RPG was first showcased 3 Years ago during Game Awards 2020. Since then, we have been getting some tidbits on how the game would play out. The mechanics, graphics, and Features showcased repeatedly in trailers have already proved it to be a pretty ambitious game. As a big fan of RPG games, I can’t wait to play this game by myself.
What is Crimson Desert?
Crimson Desert is the latest RPG Game that is to be released soon by Pearl Abyss. As for the lore itself, it goes something like this. We will play as Macduff, son of Martinus, who is seemingly a leader of a worn-out gang of mercenaries. Set in the world of Pywel, the story of the game revolves around a power struggle after the King of Demeniss falls into a coma. The main job of the players is to unite different regions and engage in a variety of quests, castle sieges, and much more to bring stability to the land.
In addition to its pretty good premise, the game also promises some pretty amazing boss fights. As the world of Pywel is filled with many magical beasts, you can also expect Dragon fights in addition to city duels, boss fights, and even arm wrestling in taverns. The game is mostly similar to “Black Desert Online” but players will also be able to make many discoveries in Crimson Desert as well.

Exploration and Activities
The game will give players quite a bit of freedom in what they want to do which makes it a pretty good RPG Game through and through. these features include robbing wagons, taming horses, fishing, climbing, and even engaging in castle sieges. furthermore, the players will be able to explore unfriendly natural regions and sprawling cities. The players will also be able to engage in mini-games like arm wrestling. Furthermore, players can also ride things like flying ships and hot-air balloons. It is to be noted that if a player were to indulge in acts of crime in the game, there is a separate karma system for it.
Wide Range of Lifeskills
The Game allows you to learn various Life skills that help you during your adventure. These include a pretty solid fishing mechanic, gathering herbs, and even cooking. In addition to Horse Taming players can also interact with various pets like cats, dogs, and rats. there is also a pretty good mechanic for farming which enhances the immersive experience.
Magical Elements in Combat
from the looks of the trailer, in addition to its medieval combat system, players can also use magical abilities making it a fantasy RPG. we could see our main character jumping off from horses or cliffs while flying like a black figure (Hard to describe). We could also see some mysterious gates in which the player is shown solving various puzzles. All we do know is that magical combat is a thing and those gates are to stay mysterious till the release of the game.
Crimson Desert Release Date
The developers delayed the release of Crimson Desert, originally slated for a vague 2024 release date. The game is now scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2025. Regarding platforms, the developers plan to release the game on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows
