After Reina’s reveal trailer, we finally have the completed list of Tekken 8 characters. Let’s go through all of them.
Many characters have made appearances in every game but this time it is missing one main character, Heihachi. Him being now deceased, The world’s Fate now lies in the hands of Kazuya.
Most of the revealed characters in Tekken 8 are returning characters, while others are new additions like Reina, Viktor, and Azucena. with all the 32 characters now revealed. let’s go through all of them.

Alisa
Alisa Bosconovitch is the “Destroying Automaton” developed by the brilliant scientist Dr. Bosconovitch. Alisa’s fighting skills come from her high-mobility flight suit and her arsenal of technological weaponry.
Asuka Kazama
has been a part of Tekken’s Roster since Tekken 5 and is the only character that hooked me to play Tekken. She uses the Kazama fighting style similar to Jun Kazama and considers herself a rival to Lili.
Azucena
is one of the new characters appearing in Tekken 8. Known as the ‘Peruvian Coffee Queen’ by many, She supposedly owns a Farm called ‘Oritz Farm’ which Grinds and sells coffee beans. She has a unique fighting style that involves counterstances and hard-hitting counterblows.
Bryan Fury
has always appeared to be destructive, his fighting style involves brutal punch combos to hit the enemy as hard as possible. First made an appearance in Tekken 3.
Claudio Sefarino
is one of the latest inclusions in the Tekken series First appearing in Tekken 7. He is The Leader of the Archers of Sirius, who seek to exorcise demons and save the world from supernatural threats.
Devil Jin
Devil Jin returns with his demonic side coming from the devil gene in his blood and the embodiment of him living with his sins. Devil Jin’s appearance matches his name, and his fighting skills are beyond human capabilities.
Dragunov
he is known as the ‘White Angel of Death’ due to his fighting prowess and his cold personality. he has a deep-seated rivalry with Raven.
Feng Wei
Feng Wei. A Chinese Kenpo master. As a disciple of the ‘God Fist’ style, by 20, he was the top student in his dojo. When his master scolded him for fighting outside the school, Feng killed him.
Hwoarang
Has a fighting style involving aerial Kicks and explosive attacks. he has been a long-time rival of Jin Kazama since Tekken 3.
Jack 8
A new Tekken means a newer Jack. This model being the latest and powerful version, has a big cannon for finishing blows. normally uses rocket-powered punches to blast away enemies.
Jin Kazama
first introduced in Tekken 3, uses a mix of fighting styles between the Mishima style and the Kazama style. His main goal is to end the Mishima bloodline and supposedly the Devil Gene.
Jun Kazama
She is one of the characters making an appearance after a long time. First introduced in Tekken 2, she uses the same fighting style as Asuka Kazama. Jun was attacked by Ogre and was presumed dead, but her appearance in Tekken 8 implies that she somehow survived and is back with new supernatural powers.
Kazuya Mishima
After killing his father, Heihachi, Kazuya is now the main antagonist of the series. He uses a mixture of Mishima style and his Devil gene to control the world using G corporation having power that surpasses the Mishima Zaibatsu.
King
Is the second person to wear the iconic tiger’s mask and has been a part of Tekken since Tekken 3. He was one of the kids who were brought up in the original King’s orphanage. Practices wrestling as his fighting style.
Kuma
is a mascot character of Tekken, maybe? After the death of his former master (Heihachi Mishima’s pet bear), is now fighting for revenge for his master against Kazuya.
Lars Alexandersson
is the illegitimate child of Heihachi Mishima who made his first appearance in Tekken 6. Is the Leader of a Rebel group from Tekken Force who seeks to destroy the entire Mishima dynasty.
Lee Chaolan
sometimes goes by an inventor alter-ego named Violet. being the CEO of Violet Systems he loves to indulge in worldly things as a millionaire. He being the eldest of the Heihachi Mishima adopted sons, helps out his younger adopted brother Lars by repairing Alisa Bosconovitch in his rebellion against Hehachi and Kazuya which proves his expertise in robotics as well.
Leo
his mother was killed before the events of Tekken 6. After finding out Kazuya was the culprit, he entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament. After looking into more of his mother’s past, Leo found out his mother worked for Mishima Zaibatsu as a scientist.
Leroy Smith
ah yes, the Drip Lord. being a fan-favorite character, he has made quite an impact in the Tekken community. He uses Wing Chun martial arts to fight street gangs in New York City.
Lili
also known as, Emilie De Rochefort, is a rich aristocrat who first fought to end her father’s business but fate had other plans. After losing to Asuka in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Lili developed a strong rivalry with her. While her butler Sebastian considers her rivalry a rather strong friendship.
Ling Xiaoyu
first made her appearance in Tekken 3. Had a dream of making an amusement park which drove her to enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament. This got her involved with the Mishima Family hence befriending Jin.
Marshall Law
Marshall Law has been a part of Tekken ever since the beginning of the series. He is the original kicking and flipping powerhouse, using his inner chi to power up his moves. I call him the Bruce Lee of Tekken.
Nina Williams
Nina Williams is the commander of G corporation forces formerly being a mercenary for hire. Uses an assassin-based fighting style to eliminate her opponents.
Panda
Panda is Ling Xiaoyu’s Trusted bodyguard and friend who first made an appearance in Tekken 8 with Kuma. She is considered a palette swap between Kuma due to her same fighting style but is still pretty well established. She often rejects Kuma’s advances with coldness but is much more supportive of Xiaoyu’s quest to find Jin.
Paul Pheonix
Paul Phoenix is one of those characters who have been a part of Tekken since the beginning. His fighting style involves various punches and Kicks. Is also the previous winner of the King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Raven
Honing his ninjutsu skills in silence, he returns to Tekken 8 after a brief absence. His new skills include shadow cloning which are now an integral part of his fighting style.
Reina
Reina is one of the three new characters that are making an appearance in Tekken 8. We know nothing about her character except for the fact that she has quite close relations with the Mishima clan. what makes her a bit more mysterious is that Jin nor Kazuya knows about her identity. She apparently “exudes a charismatic sense of evil, reflecting her character’s duality in both personality and fighting style”.
Reina’s moves are a mix of Taido and Mishima-style Karate. She uses both the Wind God Fist and Spinning Demon, which are key moves in Heihachi’s move list.
Victor Chevalier
Drip Grandpa is what I’ll call him. Victor is also one of the three new characters that will be making an appearance. Bandai Namco describes Victor Chevalier as “a living legend who founded the UN’s independent forces. Descended from a lineage of distinguished knights, with a dream to rescue those in need, he followed in the footsteps of his father and enlisted in the French Navy before joining the UN following his will to save more people”
He also founded and trained the Raven Force, with the reveal trailer showing him as a sort of trainer or rival to Raven. Victor wields a pistol and cybernetic sword and is capable of incredibly swift movements and devastating blows.
Yoshimitsu
The leader of the Manji Clan is an extremely skilled swordsman who has a habit of changing his appearance in every Tekken game. This particular outfit is a blue variation styled heavily on his iconic Tekken 3 armor. He has previously had several run-ins with the Mishima Zaibatsu, rescuing his friend Doctor Bosconovitch in the process, as the doctor gave him a mechanical arm when it was cut off during an infiltration mission gone wrong.
Zafina
The mysterious Zafina first debuted in Tekken 6, her origins are unknown. After sealing Azazel’s power in her left arm at the end of Tekken 6, she soon finds out that containing the demon will be temporary as both Kazuya and Jin are still alive. She seeks a partnership with Claudio and the Archers of Sirius to rid the world of these demons permanently.
Shaheen
After all the management at his friend’s oil company mysteriously resigned, he learned from his close friend that Kazuya Mishima was pulling the strings. He joins the King of Iron Fist Tournament to infiltrate G corporation to investigate. He first made an appearance in Tekken 7.
Steve Fox
Steve is a British boxing middleweight champion who was adopted at a young age and knew nothing of his past, including the origin of a scar on his arm. As it turns out, he was the result of genetic experiments attempting to replicate the effects of the Devil Gene on humans, and while the experiment was a failure, Leo’s mother helped him escape by faking his death.
