Little Devil Inside is An RPG I Can’t wait To Play, And You should Too!

You know, sometimes YouTube starts tweaking out and showing you things that may not interest you, but hey, I saw Little Devil Inside some time ago because of it, and it has piqued my interest. Its minimalistic design interested me, but the game looked detailed as well. I tried to delve deeper into the game, and now it has got me hooked. But I have a question: Where is the release date?

What Is Little Devil Inside?

Little Devil Inside is an upcoming action-adventure RPG with some survival elements. Neostream Interactive is developing the game. The multiplayer and single-player modes will focus on the professional and personal lives of explorers. You will play as an explorer tasked with searching for monsters in a 19th-century-inspired world.

Little Devil Inside Plot

We only know a little about the game, but some info is available from Developers. The Explorer you play is named Billy, employed by a college professor, Vincent, and his colleague, Dr. Oliver. Your job will be to investigate paranormal activities that get reported to the authorities but are deemed less critical. The researchers or the professor’s ultimate objective is to assemble a complete encyclopedia of “all phenomenal existence.”

Little Devil Inside, or LDI, does not seem to have a serious atmosphere but is goofy for a comedic touch. Even to show how the professor and the guy you play as live in separate worlds. You are out running for your life, trying not to freeze to death, fighting monsters, and, on the other hand, your employer could not have a better life than he is having. The game has some satirical aspects, making it more interesting.

Little Devil Inside Gameplay

The game starts being pretty ambitious at this point. Little Devil Inside is a 3d action adventure RPG with elements of survival, combat and open-world exploration. The survival elements do not seem extreme or, as the developers have said, to be “quite easy” compared to other survival games. The only thing you need to worry about is taking a trip to the mission and surviving until its completion.

You can extract water from cacti, cook food from meat you acquire, and even chop wood to light a fire. You might also come across some healing items on your way. Though there would be the main story you would have to progress, there are other things you can do, like complete favours given by NPCs.

The combat looks a bit sloppy, but it’s not like the game is releasing anytime soon, so they have enough time to optimise. You can use snipers, flintlocks, swords or, in the recent trailer, a flame sword, which you might have to build using resources. The primary foes you encounter go from wild animals to monsters, horrific beings, and even humans.

Little Devil Inside Overworld

The most exciting part of this game is the open world. From what we know, there are many regions to explore, like snow, deserts, oceans, swamps, and forests. The Developers have said that the game won’t have an option to fast travel for a better survival experience. It has an overworld view, which shows the places you can travel. This feature, however, lets you run into some random events, like accidentally running into a deer while travelling or encountering enemies while having dinner. Which You can then invite them to either eat with you or fight them.

Little Devil Inside has been in development for 9 years with no news whatsoever. The latest gameplay trailer, which was 9 months ago, shed some light on the game’s current state and has improved in many ways. The overworld view now looks more detailed, with the map being separated into different sections.

The game lets you transition between the overworld view and normal 3rd person view. The question most people have is whether you can travel the whole map. Or can you travel in 3rd person view in selective points of interest only. My speculation is that the latter makes the most sense. We don’t need places like Starfield has, where you can travel to every place, but everywhere you go, it’s just emptiness.

Little Devil Inside Visuals And Graphics

Little Devil Inside has a pretty unique visual style for its models. The environment is as realistic as it can get, but the monsters and characters seem to be made out of clay. This again shows how the game has a minimalistic feel to it while being full of expression at the same time.

Little Devil Inside Release Date

It gets a bit tricky here. The game has supposedly been in development since 2015. From what we know, the studio behind Little Devil Inside has been through some changes with people going and leaving, but right now, they are a small team that just wants to make a great game. The game also had to be shifted to Unreal Engine 5, which seems to be the main cause of the delay. Not to mention how Covid had basically affected many people in one way or another.

I just want these devs to take their time in bringing their vision to life, and no matter how long it takes, ill keep waiting. With The Game Awards just around the corner, we can only hope for some good news for the Little Devil Inside fans.
