Kingmakers allows you as the player to go back in time while bringing in modern weaponry. These include tanks, cars, guns, and planes in a world that is yet to go through an industrial revolution.

Expect kingmakers to be on Xbox, PS5 and PC. PC users, being in luck as usual, can play the game early access in Q1 of 2025

Kingmakers Story

You might expect to be able to cause mayhem with a game with a premise like this—well, yes, but there is more to it. This game does seem to have a story to it, as well. Kingmakers is set in medieval Great Britain in 1400 AD, where you, as a task force operator, are sent back 500 years to prevent a future apocalypse. Depending on the choices you make, you will be able to fight for England, Scotland or Wales. However, one thing to keep in mind is that the choices you make will impact what ending you achieve, as there are multiple endings to the game.

Kingmakers Gameplay

The game allows you to switch between a third-person shooter and a top-down strategy mode view, which makes it feel like playing a board game.

3rd Person View

The third-person view in Kingmakers is like your average FPS shooter, where you need to take down medieval enemies. You can use modern weaponry like tanks, call in airstrikes, or even ram cars into cavalry units to accomplish this.

Top-down view

The top-down view in Kingmakers gives you a perspective of playing a board game. You can command your army of cavalry, archers, and swordsmen and customize them according to your wishes, like formations, different banners, and colors.
