Delta Force Could be a new FPS you might want to look out For

The Development team behind Delta Force has been on a roll lately. They’ve been going after other FPS shooters, promising surprising features like no pay-to-win, focusing more on optimizing the game than monetization, and so much more. But is the game worth playing? Let’s find out.

What is Delta Force?

So, what is this new Delta Force Game everyone has been talking about? Well, it is an upcoming first-person Free-to-play tactical shooter for various platforms, such as PCs, consoles, and even mobiles. The game has multiple modes: campaign mode, extraction mode, multiplayer, and a possible Battle Royale Mode.

The game is a part of the Delta Force Series, previously developed by NavaLogic. After Tencent, a Chinese company, acquired the game rights, it is now being developed by TiMi Studios, who are also the developers of Call of Duty mobile

The game has been through various name changes. First, it was renamed Delta Force: Black Hawk, and then it settled down with Delta Force as their name.

Delta Force Campaign or Story

Inspired by the film Black Hawk Down (2001) by Ridley Scott and Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, the game will feature a single-player and cooperative experience as United States forces participate in the 1993 Somali conflict. This feature, however, will be a paid component compared to the rest of the game.

Gameplay

The Game has three fantastic game modes: operations, an extraction mode, and warfare, a multiplayer mode. Older fans will be excited to know that the older maps have been completely remade for multiplayer.

Players will play as military operators in unnamed conflicts resembling real-life locations. They can also control helicopters and tanks, assisting them in various situations. This feature, however, has caused concern among gamers, who have called it a battlefield clone. However, those who have played the game can agree that the gameplay differs widely from Battlefield 2042.

The game will also allow players to customize their operators, weapons, and vehicles with optional microtransactions. Surprisingly, the Devs have also said there won’t be any pay-to-win features, meaning players who don’t spend money can compete fairly with those who do spend some on games.

What Makes It so Special?

What makes It so unique is how the Developers communicate and appreciate gamers’ feedback, which can hardly be seen in other video games. Secondly, the amount of content this game will have is absolutely mind-blowing. Not only do we have the battlefield mode and the extraction mode, but there will be newer updates every three months, bringing in more content. And a new game mode every year as well.

Additionally, the developers have addressed their zero-tolerance policy towards cheaters, which is a massive plus for me. You can expect fewer cheaters to run into and have a relaxing time while playing the game. The Developers have also said that they will focus more on optimizing the game for different hardware; if the game were to live up to that hype, we can expect a massive amount of players, which would reduce matchmaking times.

Delta Force Release Date and Platforms

Delta Force, or Delta Force Black Hawks, is set to release on December 5, 2024. The game will allow cross-play and be available on consoles, PCs, and Mobile devices, but there is a catch. For Console users looking to play early, the game will be released in Q1 of 2025, meaning three months after it will be released on PC on the 5th. Though unfortunate, it would allow the studio to quickly address any bugs before releasing on further platforms.
